RS Varun Kumar has been listed among the world’s top 2 percent scientists for the second consecutive time Kumar, an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Sunway University in Malaysia, is the son of veteran journalist Telex Ravikumar and Shasikala.
The ranking, prepared by Stanford University, evaluates scientists based on criteria such as research quality, citations, and various indices including H-Index and I-Ten Index. Kumar’s research mentor, Prof. BC Prasannakumar from Davanagere University’s Department of Mathematics, is also included in this global ranking. Along with Prof. Prasannakumar, four of his research fellows RG Puneet Gowda, R Naveen Kumar, JK Madhukesh, and RS Varun Kumar are also ranked.
Prof. BC Prasannakumar has been ranked in this list for the fourth consecutive year and has achieved notable career accomplishments.
