The grand launch event for the devotional film “Tarakeshwara” took place at SRV Cinema Hall. Former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C.N. Aswath Narayan unveiled the banner nameplate, extending his best wishes to the team. Following this, NM Suresh, Chairman of the Karnataka Board of Film Commerce, revealed the film’s title, while veteran director Sai Prakash introduced the title song, produced by Siri Music. Dignitaries such as Ravi R. Garani and N.R.K. Vishwanath also attended, contributing to the celebratory atmosphere.Purushottam Omkar, the writer and director, explained that the concept originated during Ganeshrao’s portrayal of Shiva in “Siddarameshwar,” where a brief mention of “Tarakeshwara” sparked further interest. The story draws from Shiv Purana, focusing on the demon Tarakasura, who seeks revenge after being granted a boon from Brahma. Prajwal Kesarkar plays Indra, with filming locations including Bangalore, Srirangapatna, and Mysore.Producer Ganeshrao Kesarkar, who has acted in 333 films, expressed gratitude for the support he received in stepping into the title role. The heroine, Rupali, delivered a stunning performance as Parvati, accompanied by a talented cast including Ritusparsha, Sumitha Praveen, and others. Co-producers include Tuljabai and Dr. Sumita Praveen, with music by Rajbhaskar and cinematography by Muthuraj.
