Russian President Vladimir Putin cautioned that Western nations risk becoming directly involved in the Russia-Ukraine conflict by supplying Ukraine with long-range weapons. Putin stated that if such actions continue, Russia will be compelled to respond appropriately to the new threats, according to Russian media.

Ukraine has repeatedly asked its Western allies for missiles, including long-range ones, to launch strikes deep into Russian territory, as reported by Western media.

Putin emphasized, ‘Only NATO personnel can program these missile systems, not Ukrainian forces.’ He further argued that the issue is not about whether Ukraine will be permitted to strike Russia, but rather whether NATO countries, including the U.S. and European nations, are directly participating in the conflict.

‘If such a decision is made, it would mean direct involvement of NATO countries in the war in Ukraine,’ Putin warned, as reported by sources.

A Politico report mentioned that the White House is finalizing a plan to loosen restrictions on Ukraine’s use of U.S.-donated weapons, including British long-range missiles containing American components, to target locations inside Russia.
