Taapsee Pannu recently revealed how Shah Rukh Khan changed her views on marketing. She shared that SRK, a legendary actor and savvy businessman, persuaded her to embrace paid marketing by comparing it to billboards. Initially resistant, Taapsee found SRK’s argument convincing when he suggested treating people paid to promote her as marketing tools similar to billboards.
Reflecting on her experience working with SRK on ‘Dunki,’ Taapsee told that she used to believe that publicity should be purely organic, not paid. But Shah Rukh’s analogy made her reconsider. He said that just as you pay for billboards to advertise, paying people to speak positively about you is a legitimate marketing strategy. His reasoning quickly shifted my perspective, she said.
Taapsee also spoke about her early career lessons from Akshay Kumar. She admired his work ethic during their collaboration on ‘Naam Shabana,’ noting his calm demeanor under pressure. She explained, Akshay taught me how to stay composed in difficult situations. I have never seen him lose his temper or speak ill of anyone. His ability to remain calm and collected is something I really respect and strive to emulate, she added.
