Chalawadi Narayanaswamy, Opposition Leader in the Legislative Council, announced that BJP plans to appeal to the President to dismiss the Congress government in Karnataka. During a press conference, Narayanaswamy accused the government of causing law and order issues in the state.
Narayanaswamy stated that the party will request the assembly speaker and council chairman to take action against Ministers Dinesh Gundu Rao, Krishna Byre Gowda, and MLC Saleem Ahmed, as well as others, for their inappropriate remarks directed at Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot.
The Governor had earlier approved the prosecution of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the Muda scam. Narayanaswamy also mentioned that the BJP central leadership will soon address the issue concerning MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal.
When asked about the allegations against HD Kumaraswamy, he claimed to be unaware of the details, but emphasised that all corruption cases should be thoroughly investigated.
The press conference was attended by Hubli-Dharwad Mahanagar Zilla President Tippanna Majjagi, MLC SV Sankanur, BJP SC Morcha state office bearer Mahendra Koutal, and others.
