Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and called for a CBI probe into the MUDA scam. During an event in Anagol, Joshi accused the Congress government of widespread corruption, including the MUDA scam and an Rs 187 crore transfer scam involving the Valmiki Corporation.
According to Joshi, there is clear evidence of the mismanagement of Valmiki Development Corporation funds, with a lack of transparency in money transfers. The minister’s name appeared in the death note of an officer who committed suicide, prompting calls for a CBI investigation.
In the MUDA scam, land was allegedly transferred to Siddaramaiah’s brother and later registered in his wife’s name. Joshi argued that the Chief Minister must have been aware of these transactions and should not defend himself in this case.
Joshi also criticized the Congress government for coming to power on false promises. Siddaramaiah, who promised guarantees without proper planning, is now struggling to govern effectively. Joshi suggested that if the government continues to face development setbacks, it will not last long.MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal echoed Joshi’s sentiments, stating that the state government is incapable of maintaining power and has lost its moral standing. Yatnal criticized the Congress government for abandoning development schemes and being limited to guarantees, causing discontent among legislators.
