The role of doctors is important in maintaining public health and the health of the society. Bharat Ratna Bidan Chandra Roy upheld the dignity of the medical profession by his selfless service. To commemorate his selfless service and contribution to the field of medicine, National Doctors’ Day is celebrated on Monday, his birth anniversary.
Nataraj, District Health and Family Welfare Officer (DHO), said that I wish all the medical groups of the district a very happy Doctor’s Day, wishing that their service and social concern and heartiness will become an ideal for our medical group.
As the monsoon rains have started these days, stagnant water has led to the breeding of mosquitoes. Due to this, the generation of mosquitoes is high these days. Dengue, Chikungunya, Malaria, Pylaria and other infectious diseases are spread by the bite of infected mosquitoes.
The health department has already taken all control measures effectively to prevent dengue. But it is not possible to bring this disease under control by the health department alone. Only with the cooperation of the public, organizations and other departments can success be achieved in bringing the disease under control.
Panchayat Raj, Women and Child Welfare, Education, Social Welfare and other departments, Health Department and staff should join hands. Everyone has to perform social responsibility. I hope that we could build a healthy society only when the information and rules given by the department are followed. If you have cold, fever, cough or other symptoms, get a blood test without fail and visit Asha, Anganwadi workers, health staff or doctors for more information, he said.
