Under the Field Publicity Program of the Department of Information and Public Relations, a street play and folk music event was organized at the district administrative building to raise awareness about various government schemes and development programs. The event was inaugurated by J. Harish, the President of the District Government Employees Union and the District Health Education Officer, who performed a traditional drumming ceremony. In his address, Harish emphasized that the event was aimed at educating rural communities about the government’s five guarantee schemes and various development initiatives. The Siddhartha Youth Sports and Cultural Development Association and Dr. Bheem Trust’s art team conducted the folk music and street play presentations to effectively communicate these messages. The performances are scheduled to take place in multiple villages, including Kaiwara, Batlahalli, Burudugunte, Iragampalli, Muragamalla, Nandiganahalli, Bhoomishettihalli, Kencharlahalli, Raguttahalli, Kotagallu, as well as in the Chintamani taluk areas of Nallaguttapalli, Rachcheruvu, Pulagallu, Mitemari, Somanathapura, Billuru, Naremaddepalli, Palyakere, Chakavelu, and Cheluru. The event also saw the presence ofM. Junjanna, Assistant Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations, M. Prasad, District Employment Officer, and B. Borappa, Senior Scientist from the District Groundwater and Geology Department, along with various artists and leaders from the cultural teams. The initiative aims to engage communities and enhance understanding of the government’s efforts in rural development. Harish noted that engaging local communities through cultural performances fosters a sense of ownership and participation in government initiatives.
