Hockey India has revealed the 16-member Indian Men’s Hockey Team set to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympics, taking place from July 26 to August 11, 2024. The squad includes five Olympic debutants, bringing fresh energy to the team. Intense training and preparation are ongoing at the national camp at the SAI Centre in Bengaluru, according to Hockey India’s press release.
The Indian team will begin their Olympic campaign on July 27 against New Zealand, followed by a match with Argentina on July 29. Subsequent matches will be against Ireland on July 30, Belgium on August 1, and Australia on August 2.
India’s men’s hockey team boasts a rich Olympic legacy with 12 medals, including 8 Gold, 1 Silver, and 3 Bronze. Led by Harmanpreet Singh, the team aims to add another medal to their illustrious history.
