One Terrorist Killed In Ongoing Anti-Infiltration Operation In Uri: Army

In the Uri Sector of Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have eliminated one terrorist during an ongoing anti-infiltration operation along the Line of Control (LoC) on Sunday, according to the Army.

The operation, named ‘Bajrang,’ commenced on June 22 based on precise intelligence inputs and remains active.

The encounter ensued after army personnel detected suspicious movements along the LoC in the Uri sector.

This infiltration attempt from across the border occurs amidst a series of significant terrorist activities reported in Jammu and Kashmir over the past 15 days.

Earlier, on June 19, two terrorists were neutralized during an encounter with security forces in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.

“In response to credible intelligence regarding terrorist presence, a Joint Operation was initiated on Sunday by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Hadipora area of PD Sopore; two terrorists have been eliminated, and the operation is ongoing,” announced the Chinar Corps-Indian Army on X.
