Kolar
Opposition Leader in the Legislative Assembly R Ashok has claimed that the State Government would fall on its own as many Ministers and Deputy Chief Minister are making various comments regarding change of guard. Speaking at a public meeting organised by his party at Kolar on protest against spiraling prices of essential commodities, Ashoka claimed that one pontiff of Vokkaliga community has openly asked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to make way for DK Shivakumar to become Chief Minister and the people of the State definitely know as to who is there behind the statement of the pontiff. He predicted that if DK Shivakumar is not made the Chief Minister he would topple the Government on the other hand if some of the Ministers who are eyeing the Deputy Chief Minister’s post will work for the downfall of the State Government if their demand for DCM is not met. In any case the Government would soon fall, opined R Ashoka.
He further alleged that CM Siddaramaiah is playing dirty politics by trying to weaken their own party leaders. He opined that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is behind the defeat of DK Suresh, brother of Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar in the Lok Sabha polls. Siddaramaiah had played similar tactics even during the 2013 Assembly elections and alleged that Siddaramaiah worked hard to defeat the then KPCC President G Parameshwara from Koratagere fearing Parameshwara would be a natural choice to become Chief Minister if the party gets majority.
