Deputy Opposition leader Aravind Bellad expressed concern over the unfolding power struggle within the state government. Speaking to the media in the city, he highlighted the confusion arising since the conclusion of the Lok Sabha elections. Reports circulating in the media suggested a proposal for Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah to share the Chief Minister’s role for two and a half years, adding to the uncertainty.
Bellad attributed the ongoing confusion to Siddaramaiah’s alleged intention to maintain power, causing unrest within the Congress party. He predicted the government’s potential collapse due to these internal issues.
Regarding the tragic road accident in Gundenahalli, Haveri district, where 13 members of the same family lost their lives, Bellad expressed condolences. He emphasized the need for the government to provide adequate compensation to the bereaved families.
