Chairperson of the Karnataka Administrative Reforms Commission RV Deshapande stated that the party should take action against the leaders who violate party discipline by publicly discussing issues such as the changing the CM and the appointment of more DCM on public platforms or before the media.

He was addressing a press conference at the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha, after listening to the opinion and suggestions from the officials regarding reforms in their respective departments. Officials from Belagavi and Uttara Kannada districts were present for the meeting.

Such issues should be discussed within the party as they are completely internal matters. One should not speak to get headlines from the media. By discussing these issues in public, these leaders create confusion and weaken the party. This is not a vegetable market. People will become irked with the party if such issues are continually aired in public. The party should take action against such leaders to maintain discipline, he said.

Meanwhile, Deshpande mentioned that the decentralization of administration is also a part of administrative reforms. Therefore, there is a need to have more state-level offices in the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha. I will make efforts in this regard on my behalf, he assured. Deshpande noted that detailed opinions were heard from officials of the transport, revenue, and food and civil supply departments during the meeting. They recommended increasing online services in the revenue and transport departments to bring more transparency to the services and administration, he added.

Another suggestion from the revenue department officials was to address the issue of multiple documents being created in the revenue and animal husbandry departments when land conversion is made. They suggested stopping the multiple entries of properties.
