Google Engineer’s Accident On Rapido Bike Sparks Safety Concerns

Must read

A Google software engineer took to social media to recount a frightening accident she endured while riding a Rapido bike. Srishti Aggarwal shared images of her injured leg on platform X, along with a detailed description of the incident that has stirred significant public concern.

Aggarwal described booking a Rapido bike on a Friday night, only to find herself in a perilous situation due to the driver’s reckless driving. She claimed that the driver was speeding and failed to signal while abruptly turning onto the service lane at Outer Ring Road, Kadubeesanahalli. This sudden maneuver led to a collision with a car behind them, causing both Aggarwal and the driver to fall on the busy road.

Aggarwal alleged that the bike rider completed the trip and fled the scene without offering any assistance or taking her to a medical facility. Fortunately, Aggarwal sustained minor injuries, attributing her relative safety to wearing a high-quality helmet.

The car driver involved in the collision provided Aggarwal with first aid and remained with her until her friends arrived. Despite the driver’s apologetic demeanor, Aggarwal emphasized that the incident highlighted the dangers of reckless driving by two-wheeler operators associated with services like Rapido.

Rapido’s customer care reportedly advised Aggarwal to pursue an insurance claim. Although she expressed no personal vendetta against Rapido, Aggarwal cautioned others against booking two-wheelers due to what she perceives as widespread reckless driving among their riders.
