A social media user, identified as Piyush Kukkar, has shared dashcam footage capturing what he claims were two instances of staged harassment while driving on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The incidents, which occurred around 10:25 PM on Monday, unfolded on Varthur Road near Prestige Lakeside Habitat, according to Kukkar’s posts.
In the videos posted by Kukkar, the first clip at 10:24:50 shows him driving on a busy street when a scooter suddenly blocks his path, purportedly in an attempt to create an obstruction. Kukkar described this as a common tactic used to provoke drivers and escalate situations.
The second video, following shortly after, depicts a Bolero vehicle with partially scratched-off digits on its number plate honking aggressively behind Kukkar. According to his account, the Bolero driver then proceeded to force him to stop, exited the vehicle, and confronted Kukkar verbally.
In subsequent posts, Kukkar detailed how a two-wheeler rider appeared to make a U-turn and approach his car closely, narrowly avoiding a collision after being alerted by the Bolero driver about the dashcam.
Kukkar mentioned the importance of dashcams in Bengaluru, urging others to consider them a necessity for documenting such incidents. His posts have sparked discussions online about safety measures and the prevalence of staged confrontations on city roads, particularly in less central areas like Varthur Road.
