Actor Chris Hemsworth is reportedly in talks to star in an upcoming crossover film between the ‘Transformers’ and ‘G.I. Joe’ franchises, as per reports. The crossover was hinted at in last year’s film, ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’, and was confirmed by Paramount during this year’s CinemaCon. In the film, Noah, played by Anthony Ramos, encounters a government spy named Agent Burke, portrayed by Michael Kelly from House of Cards. Burke, who works for the G.I. Joes, offers Noah a job after they save the planet with the Autobots.
This collaboration marks the first time these iconic 1980s brands have joined forces on the big screen. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura mentioned that Noah’s transition from jobless to joining the elite G.I. Joes felt organic to the story. He emphasized the importance of not cynically inserting the G.I. Joes into the narrative, as fans have high expectations. Di Bonaventura stated that it took time to integrate new elements like the Maximals and hints of the Joes’ story. The crossover film aims to satisfy fans while ensuring a well-thought-out narrative.
