BJP State President and MLA, BY Vijayendra, alleged that Congress is attempting to buy its own party MLAs with large sums of money ahead of the upcoming by-elections. He claimed that Congress is preparing for a setback in the by-elections held in three constituencies earlier and is resorting to such measures to secure their position.
Speaking to the media at the BJP state office on Friday, Vijayendra criticized Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for allegedly trying to intimidate the BJP while avoiding accountability within his own party. He suggested that Siddaramaiah was aware that his resignation was imminent and pointed out the internal tensions within the Congress party.
Vijayendra also dismissed the notion of a leadership change in the BJP, stating that the party only has 66 MLAs and that there were no concerns over its stability. He further expressed confidence that Siddaramaiah would resign soon, with the timing depending on the results of the Maharashtra elections.
Vijayendra emphasized that the BJP-NDA alliance would win the upcoming by-elections in Channapatna, Shiggamvi, and Sandur, predicting a historic victory for the alliance.
