The new buzz in South film industry on Wednesday is that a Bengaluru production house is looking forward to make a biopic on late and legendary carnatic singer MS Subbulakshmi and media reports suggest that the makers have approached actresses Nayanthara, Trisha and Rashmika Mandanna asking them if they are willing to play the lead in the movie.
The pre-production work for the film has already begun and the makers are looking forward to release the film by 2025. Social media reports suggest that the makers have considered actresses namely, Trisha, Nayanthara and Rashmika Mandanna – who are currently at the peak of their careers to play the lead role in the new biopic. More details are awaited. Sources stated that the makers will soon finalise on who will be playing MS Subbulakshmi in the movie and the movie’s scripting work is in final stage.
Furthermore, the film will be made on a grand scale and the official announcement is expected soon. MS Subbulakshmi or Madurai Shanmukhavadivu Subbulakshmi was a renowned Tamil carnatic singer. She started singing from the age of 10 and gained a god-like status in the classical singing arenas. She passed away at the age of 88 in 2004.
