Drought Relief Loan Adjustment; HDK Condemns Bank Brutality

From any angle, there seems to be no end to the farmers’ woes. JD(S) state President HD Kumaraswamy said that the state Congress government, which was supposed to be a breadwinner by name, by wiping their tears and stood by them, is sitting silently.
Expressing outrage through a post on social networking site X, Kumaraswamy said, the behavior of the banks where the drought relief money is deposited in the farmers’ bank accounts by the Central Government, is adjusting it towards the loan amount of farmers, is really cruel and condemnable. It is not correct to bring blood and tears to the eyes of the farmers, who have already suffered from severe drought and crop destruction, he said.
The state government should immediately call a meeting of the heads of all the banks that have given loans and discuss the matter seriously. Kumaraswamy demanded that drought relief amount should not be adjusted to the loan amount of farmers.
