Alleged Plot To Blow Up Israeli Embassy, NIA Arrests Suspected Terrorist

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested a suspected terrorist who was absconding in the case of plotting to blow up the Israeli embassy. Noor Uddin alias Rafi from Tamil Nadu arrested.
In 2014, he was wanted in a case of plotting to blow up the US embassy in Chennai and the Israeli embassy near Trinity Circle in Bengaluru. A suspected terrorist was arrested in Mysore’s Rajivnagar. NIA officials informed that 1 drone, mobile, laptop, pen drive were seized from the house.
The suspected terrorist, who was in contact with an employee at the Pakistani High Commission office in Colombo, was acting at the behest of Pakistani national Amir Zubair Siddiqui. Nooruddin was helping Pakistani spies.
Suspect Nooruddin, who had earlier escaped on bail in the Hyderabad espionage case, was released on conditional bail in August 2023. Then he was absent from the special NIA court in Chennai. Hence, a non-bailable warrant was also issued against Nooruddin. The NIA had announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh to those who gave the information.
Muhammad Sakir Hussain, a Sri Lankan national, and Amir Zubair Siddiqui, an employee of the Pakistan High Commission in Colombo, had conspired to blow up the US Consulate in Chennai and the Israeli Embassy in Bangalore. On that occasion, NIA investigation revealed that Nooruddin was financing anti-national espionage activities by supplying fake currency notes on the orders of a Pakistani national. NIA informed that the investigation will continue now.
