Four Children Drowned While Swimming In The Lake

The incident took place in Muttige village near Kadalu of Alur taluk of the district, where four children who had gone to swim in the lake drowned. Jeevan (13), Satvik (11), Vishwa and Prithvi (12) of Muthige village died, another boy Chirag (10) survived and was immediately admitted to the hospital.
As it was a school holiday, the children had gone to the lake for swimming. This time they fell into the fun of catching fish. On this occasion, they went down to deep water to catch fish in the lake. It was then learned that the children went to save each other and drowned in the water. The fire brigade personnel immediately reached the spot after getting the information and started searching for the drowned boys. The bodies of the four boys were exhumed.
MLA Cement Manju, who arrived at the spot, expressed his condolences to the family members of the deceased.
