The annual parish feast at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Nirmalapadau, was marked by an atmosphere of deep devotion and vibrant celebration. Prior to the solemn concelebrated festal Mass, Fr Denis D’Souza, the parish priest, distributed ‘Candles of Honour’ to those who had contributed to the feast and to its sponsors. During the festal Mass, which was celebrated by Fr George D’Souza, Parish priest of St Lawrence Church, Moodubelle, the congregation was reminded of the power of prayer in uniting families through a moving sermon. Over 20 priests from the Karkala deanery and other parts of the diocese participated in the Mass, accompanied by melodious singing from the church choir and the charming tunes of a brass band.
Following the Mass, Fr George D’Souza delivered a profound message and offered blessings to all the devotees honoring Our Lady of Perpetual Succour. The parish priest concluded the event by extending warm wishes to the congregation and expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the feast.
In addition to the spiritual celebrations, ICYM Nirmalapadau organized engaging games stalls, adding a lively and entertaining element to the festivities. Parishioners and visitors alike had the opportunity to partake in various games, fostering a sense of joy and camaraderie during this cherished annual event.
