In a distressing incident, a man from Kukkundoor village is accused of attempting to end the lives of his wife and their two children, aged seven and five by administering juice laced with poison.
Harinakshi (36) stated that her husband, Prabhakar, was going through financial distress due to the loans he had availed.
Prabhakar offered them juice spiked with poison, and even consumed the same. All the victims are currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital. A case has been registered at the Karkala Town Police station under IPC Section 307 (punishment for attempt to murder).
