Campaigning for the Belgaum and Chikkodi Lok Sabha constituencies has begun, with candidates hailing from established political families taking center stage. Despite the scorching summer heat, candidates and their relatives are actively seeking votes from the electorate, both individually and collectively.

In Belgaum, former Chief Minister Jagdish Shettar, the BJP candidate, has initiated a campaign dubbed ‘Chai Pe Charcha’. He was accompanied by his wife, son, and daughter-in-law as they traverse the constituency, appealing to voters. Meanwhile, MP Mangala Angadi and other family members are also rallying support for Shettar.

Over in the Belgaum constituency, Congress candidate Mrinal Habbalkar is being supported by his mother, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Habbalkar, and brother-in-law, MLC Channaraj Hattiholi. They are actively engaging with voters, both together and separately.

In Chikkodi, Priyanka Jarakiholi of the Congress is vying for the seat, backed by her father, District Minister Satish Jarkiholi, and younger brother Rahul Jarkiholi. Minister Satish Jarkiholi is urging voters to support his daughter’s vision for the constituency’s development.

Meanwhile, sitting MP Annasaheb Jolle is seeking reelection as the BJP candidate in Chikkodi. His wife, MLA Shashkala Jolle, and son, industrialist Basavaprasad Jolle, are canvassing on his behalf, rallying support from the electorate.
