Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar expressed confidence in the Congress party’s prospects in the upcoming elections following the induction of two senior leaders from Chikballapur and Kolar parliamentary constituencies. Emphasizing the party’s unity, Shivakumar highlighted the importance of guiding new talent alongside experienced members.
Addressing the gathering at the induction event, Shivakumar criticized the BJP’s recent seat changes, asserting that the Congress remains committed to representing diverse communities. He welcomed leaders from minority and backward classes into the party fold, emphasizing the inclusive approach of the Congress.
DCM also mentioned the interest of C M Ibrahim’s son in joining the Congress, indicating a growing trend of leaders from various backgrounds aligning with the party’s vision.
Regarding upcoming political activities, Shivakumar dismissed the impact of Amit Shah’s road shows and commented on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s statement, stating that seeking support from voters is a natural part of the political process.
