At the age of 80, Dr. Veena, retired from her career as a pediatrician and government medical director, continues to serve patients selflessly without charge. Alongside her medical service, she dedicated herself to studying Indian culture, achieving the 6th rank in the 19th convocation of Karnataka State Open University. Despite completing her childhood education and professional career, Dr. Veena remains remarkably active, defying her age with her ongoing pursuits.

Her husband Dr Tirumalachar is a retired government doctor. Both of them have been living together in Brindavan area of ​​the city for the past 12 years. They had served in other parts including Bengaluru, They settled here because of the atmosphere of a cultural city and the absence of other traffic jams. Three days a week, Vivekananda Arogya Kendra, which exists under the district sub-committee, is providing free treatment to children, cancer and other diseases. He has been working as a Radio Doctor for 6 years in health related matters. He considered it a service.

Even at the age of 80,   after retiring as a doctor, she was curious to study Indian history, culture, art, architecture, and heritage. From this, she started studying at Karnataka State Open University in Mysore. In the 19th annual convocation of the Karnataka State Open University she obtained his MA degree in Ancient History and Archaeological History and got 6th rank in it. Dr Veena is still writing books on Indian history, culture and architecture.
