The government has no compromise in the safety of women. Women and Child Welfare Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar said that she is committed to protecting the interests of women. Various women’s organisations and sexual minorities met the Minister at the Minister’s Home office and submitted a petition.
Speaking later, the Minister said that the government has implemented ten schemes for the empowerment of women. She said that women should take advantage of this. Vimala of Janawadi Mahila Association, Akkaiah Padmashali of Ondede organisation, Rakshita, Abida of Sadhana Mahila Sangha, office bearers of Gamana Mahila Sangha were present.
