Commissioner of City Municipal Corporation Arshad Ur Rehman said that everyone should know the importance of the Constitution and adopt it. He spoke while inaugurating the cycle rally jatha organised by the Social Welfare Department, as part of Constitution Awareness Jatha near Fort Anjaneya Swamy Temple on Thursday.
Baba Saheb Ambedkar framed the constitution and was the Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee. The constitution states how the legislature, executive and judiciary should govern. He said that the fact that we are living a comfortable life today is a gift given by the Constitution. Rangegowda, Joint Director of Social Welfare Department, delivered the Preamble of the Constitution.
On this occasion, Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations Department TK Harish, Corporation Sub Divisional Officer of Zone 6 Pratibha, Sub Divisional Officer of Zone 1 Manjunath Reddy were present.
