BJP candidate for Rajya Sabha election Narayan Bandage and BJP-JD(S) alliance candidate Kupendra Reddy filed their nomination papers on Thursday.
On this occasion BJP State President and MLA BY Vijayendra, Leader of Opposition R Ashok, JD(S) leader and former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, BJP State General Secretary Sunil Kumar, both the candidates were present.
After talking to the media representatives, BY Vijayendra said that the BJP government led by Narendra Modi has implemented excellent projects. Even in the state of Karnataka, the BJP government has been working to empower the farmers. Earlier, the BJP government had earmarked Rs 7,500 crore rupees for the agriculture sector in the state budget. He objected that the Siddaramaiah government had done injustice to the farmers by allocating Rs 4,500 crores and reducing the amount for the agriculture sector as well, he said.
