An ox has eaten a firecracker wrapped in paper for hunting wild animals. As a result, its mouth was split open and the incident took place in Hundi village of Eregowda in Nanjangudu taluk.
The incident took place in the agricultural land of Mahadevaiah of the village. The miscreants had hidden explosives in the agricultural land to kill various animals including wild boar. When the bull put food in its mouth, the explosives exploded and its mouth was ruptured and it died on the spot.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Babu, Nanjangudu DySP Govindaraju, Hullahalli Police Station Police Sub Inspector Ramesh Karakikatti, Doddaiah and staff visited and inspected the incident site. The spot was inspected by the dog squad and a trap was laid to arrest the miscreants.
