Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that the accused should be punished using modern technology based tools.
Speaking at the annual conference of Karnataka State Senior Police Officers held at the State Police Headquarters, he said that cyber crimes are increasing in recent days and more attention should be paid to it. He also said that with the help of modern technology, the accused should be arrested and punished.
Speaking further, the police should be responsive and people-friendly to the masses. Those who go to the police station should have faith in the police. In addition, if there is a quality investigation, the amount of punishment will also increase. Wherever there are lapses, they should be rectified. He suggested that the investigators should be guided by senior officials.
Charge sheet within 60 days: Delay in charge sheet also leads to reduction in punishment. So charge sheet should be submitted within 60 days. It is suggested that special public prosecution will be arranged if necessary. Day crimes should be monitored more. I said that the number of beat police should be increased for this. Monitoring of Hoysala beet system should be increased. Rowdy sheeters should also be kept an eye on before the Lok Sabha elections. And communal conflicts should be avoided. He said that if law and order is good then the state will develop.
