An accused has been arrested by the police in Maski town in the case of assaulting the Balaganur policemen who had gone to arrest the accused in connection with the theft case. Mallesh is the arrested accused who is fifth among six accused in the case.
Two Police Constables had gone to Mufti to arrest the accused in connection with the theft case that took place in Balaganur Police station. They stopped the bike near Guddur village and tried to arrest the two. At this time, the accused escaped and went towards Muski town. The accused attacked the Policemen who were chasing them near Valmiki circle in Maski town with sticks and weapons and escaped.
The injured Police Constables Manjunath and Gopal were admitted to the hospital. After registering a case in Balaganur Police station, the Police formed three teams and laid a trap to arrest the accused.Mallesh has been arrested, while the police are continuing the operation to arrest the other five accused, namely Durgesh, Sanna Durgesh, Parushuram, Venkatesh and Shivaraj.
