KSRTC Readies 1000 Extra Buses For Christmas Travel Rush

As the holiday season beckons, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced robust arrangements to accommodate the surge in travel demand. In anticipation of the upcoming weekend on December 22nd, 23rd, and the festive celebrations for Christmas on the 25th, KSRTC is deploying 1000 additional buses alongside the regular services. These provisions aim to ensure convenient travel options for commuters from December 22nd to 24th. Subsequently, special services will operate on December 25th, catering to both intra and interstate travel, specifically focused on routes to and from Bengaluru. Key highlights of the additional bus services include; Exclusive services from Bengaluru’s Kempegowda Bus Station to various destinations such as Dharmastala, Kukkesubramanya, Shivamogga, Mangaluru, Belagavi, Hyderabad, Tirupathi, and more. Special buses originating from Mysuru Road Bus Station toward Mysuru, Madikeri, and neighboring regions. Premier services from BMTC Bus Station, Shanthinagar (TTMC) to cities in Tamil Nadu and Kerala like Chennai, Coimbatore, Ernakulam, and Kozhikode. Provisions for advance computerized reservation ticket bookings for these special services, urging passengers to note the boarding locations mentioned in their tickets. Online ticket bookings available through the official KSRTC website, www.ksrtc.karnataka.gov.in. Advanced ticket reservations can be made via 691 counters across Karnataka and other states. Special discounts apply for group bookings, offering 5% off for four or more passengers booking together and a 10% discount on round-trip bookings made simultaneously. KSRTC encourages travelers to plan their journeys in advance and leverage the enhanced services provided during this festive period, ensuring a seamless and convenient travel experience for all passengers.
