Inter-College State Level Yoga Festival Promotes Health And Cultural Values

Renowned yoga guru Dr. K. Raghavendra Pai extolled the inherent power of yoga, highlighting its significant place in Indian heritage. Speaking at the inauguration of the Inter-College State Level Yoga Festival held at Seshadripuram Academy of Business Studies College in Kengeri suburb, Dr. Pai emphasized yoga’s pivotal role in shaping children’s education, fostering physical and mental development. He underlined yoga’s efficacy in promoting physical fitness, mental tranquility, and enhancing concentration. Dr. Pai stressed that yoga empowers individuals to manage the mind’s speed and fickleness, bringing balance and control to thoughts and actions. Dr. Wooday P. Krishna, the General Secretary of Seshadripuram Education Foundation, emphasized the significance of balancing technological advancements with cultural values. He urged students to embrace yoga as an integral part of their lives, highlighting its role in nurturing good health and character development. Encouraging students to integrate yoga, meditation, and concentration into their daily routine, he envisioned these practices molding them into responsible citizens. The state-level yoga festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from 40 practitioners representing 15 schools and colleges. Notable personalities such as Life Member Veerabhadraiah, Prof. Jayarama (Principal of Seshadripuram Academy of Business Studies College), Dr. R. Manjunath (Pre-Graduate College Principal), Yoga Teacher Nagashilpa, Dr. Shobha (Kannada Professor), and judges Prasanna, Sudhindra, and Meera were among the distinguished attendees. The event served as a platform to propagate the holistic benefits of yoga, encouraging youth to embrace this ancient practice for physical well-being and a deeper connection to their cultural heritage.
