The education department   has identified approximately 4,300 slow learners in SSLC across the district. For them, Jnanadhare, distribution of study material for all subjects for SSLC has been launched.
The material will be distributed to those who have scored less than 40 percent in the mid-term examination held in October. This material will help students to score passing marks in the annual SSLC examination.

Study material consists of questions and answers, guarantee questions, chapter-wise questions and answers etc. District is the first in the state to take up this initiative for slow learners.
The department has given this task to all taluk Block Educational Officers and taluk SSLC Nodal Officers. Following the poor performance of students in the last examination, it has decided to provide study materials. After mid-term exams, the department identified 4,300 slower learners and launched Jnanadhare. The aim is to improve their performance in the annual exam.
According to sources, Dharwad district registered poor performance in SSLC results last year, as it stood in 24th position in the state. However, the department has planned various programmes to improve the SSLC results. It has decided to supply study materials for SSLC children. Under the direction of the Additional Commissioner for the Department of School Education Jayashri Shintri and DDPI Shanamuk Swamy Keladimath, the Subject Inspector, Resource Person and senior teachers have come up with these materials. DDPI Shanamuk Swamy Keladimath said that the study materials will help children obtain passing marks. Questions and answers on selected topics will be given. Some guarantee questions will appear every year. These questions have been included in the study material. We have distributed 2 copies of material to all schools in the district, he added.
