The Advocate General has been instructed to set up a separate cell to look into BDA property cases. Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that the government advocates will be held accountable.
Briefing media persons during the Question Hour in the Legislative Council, he asked Marithibbegowda about the Supreme Court’s verdict in favour of private individuals in BDA property disputes. To this, the Deputy Chief Minister replied, I agree with Marithibbegowda. There is a big mafia there. There is no liability. Though the previous governments appointed advocates, 90 per cent of the judgments were in favour of the private sector.
