Thousands of tourists visit Murudeshwara in Uttara Kannada district every day. However, there is no place for the tourists to park their vehicles and they are taking their vehicles directly to the sea, which has led to the cries of the tourists who come to enjoy the beauty of the sea.

Murudeshwar, which has Asia’s second tallest statue of Lord Shiva and has a beach next to it, is flocked by tourists. Thousands of tourists have been visiting the place every day for the past 15 days. But the biggest problem is the parking of vehicles by the tourists coming here.

There have been allegations that some people who have capitalised on this are illegally collecting parking fees. The locals have demanded that the temple administration should take necessary action immediately to stop such illegal collection.

Thousands of vehicles come here every day and spend hours playing on the beach to enjoy the beauty of the place. But with vehicles coming to the beach, tourists are getting cramped. Moreover, if the tide increases, there will be no space on the beach. The vehicles parked on the beach are hit by the sea waves and the vehicles get stuck in the sand, causing inconvenience to the tourists.

Krishna Nayak, a tourism official of the department, said, there is a parking problem in Murudeshwar. Those who come here in a vehicle are parking their vehicles on the beach. Steps are being taken to resolve the issue at the earliest.
