Seven people were injured when the roof of their house collapsed at Sunupakunte village in Mulbagal taluk of district on Wednesday night. Srinivas, Hemashree, their children Meghana, Vaishali, Shiva and Srinivas, along with their relatives Nagamma and Munivenkatappa, who had come to their house, were also injured in the accident.
The injured have been admitted to a local hospital for treatment. The girl, Meghna, suffered serious head injuries and has been admitted to NIMHANS hospital in Bengaluru. It was a very old building and if it rained, water would leak from the roof of the house. The roof was covered with tadapatri and the family members lived in the house. Nangali Police visited the spot and are investigating. A case has been registered at Nangali Police station.
