A daring attempt at burglary was thwarted in Sadashivanagar, Bangalore, when Mahesh Ramchand returned home after a trip, only to catch two intruders red-handed. Kiran (23) from Hebbal, Mysore, and Vinay Revankar (24) from Belagavi Shahpur were apprehended by Sadashiva Nagar police following the incident that occurred around 1:30 am on December 5th. Upon returning from a trip to Kashi with his family, Mahesh Ramchand discovered his residence, situated on 17th Cross, Sadashivanagar, had been targeted. Sensing something amiss as the door stood ajar, Mahesh cautiously investigated, noticing footwear inside the home’s sanctum. Alarmed by sounds from upstairs, Mahesh hurriedly ascended to discover two strangers engaged in pilfering. Reacting swiftly, he secured the room and the intruders within, promptly alerting the Hoysala police, who swiftly arrived at the scene. Acting decisively, Mahesh’s quick thinking resulted in the apprehension of the thieves, as the police promptly intervened and took the intruders into custody after unlocking the room. The burglary attempt was thwarted, although two chains and an iPhone were reported missing from the premises. In the wake of the incident, a formal complaint was registered with the Sadashivanagar police station, leading to the initiation of an investigation. Police officials have confirmed the registration of a case based on the complaint filed by Mahesh Ramchand and subsequent interrogation of the arrested individuals, advancing the ongoing inquiry into the attempted burglary. Mahesh Ramchand’s vigilance and swift action not only averted a potential theft but also resulted in the apprehension of the perpetrators, underscoring the importance of timely intervention in preventing criminal activities within the community.
