Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy exhibited a dominating performance in the Sub Junior Category, defeating Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy 10-1. Despite an early goal by Yuvraj Singh (6′) from Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy, Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy took control of the game, scoring 10 goals to secure a convincing victory. The goal scorers for Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy included Amandeep (14’, 47’, 49’), Sunny (36’, 60’), Charanjeet Singh (8’), Gurjot Singh (11’), Samuel (16’), Rajbhar Sajan (27’), and Varinder Singh (51’). With this triumph, Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy not only topped Pool B but also qualified for the semi-finals. Despite the loss, Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy secured a spot in the semi-finals by finishing second in their pool. The comprehensive victory positions Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy as a strong contender in the ongoing 1st Hockey India Sub Junior Men Academy Championship 2023 – (Zone A).
