After two sessions, with one win each for the United States and the Internationals, the Americans claimed victory in both the third and fourth sessions, winning 3-1 in each. This brought the score from 5-5 to 11-7 before the final singles matches.
In the third session, Koreans Si Woo Kim and Tom Kim secured the only win for the Internationals, defeating Keegan Bradley and Wyndham Clark 4 and 3. Later, Adam Scott and Taylor Pendrith earned another win for the Internationals, beating Brian Harman and Max Homa 2-up in the fourth session.
Sahith Theegala, the first Indian American to participate in the Presidents Cup, was rested during these sessions. He is set to face Korean Byeong Hun An in the singles.
Tom Kim, feeling exhausted after a challenging Saturday, insisted that his team still had the fight in them. The 22-year-old partnered with Si Woo Kim, earning their team’s only point in the morning session against Bradley and Clark. Despite losing a tight match in the afternoon, they remained competitive.
The U.S. team needs 4.5 points from the 12 singles matches on Sunday to win the Presidents Cup for the tenth consecutive time. Kim will compete against Sam Burns, and Si Woo will take on Keegan Bradley. Adam Scott, who has yet to win with his team, urged his teammates to give their best in the final day of competition.
