MLA S.T. Somashekhar proudly announced the initiation of a crucial initiative under the Jal Jeevan Mission project, marking the commencement of permanent drinking water supply from house to house in Kengeri. The launch of this essential project was celebrated during the inauguration at H.Gollahalli, Ramohalli, and Chunchanakuppe Gram Panchayat villages in the Yeshavantpur assembly constituency. MLA Somashekhar shared that the ongoing work to establish a sustainable drinking water supply from the Manchanabele Reservoir is already underway. He detailed the installation of an overhead tank capable of holding approximately 75 thousand liters, ensuring round-the-clock water supply to every household. Venugopal, the President of Ramohalli Gram Panchayat, acknowledged the prevalent scarcity of drinking water due to inadequate monsoon rains, expressing gratitude for addressing this pressing concern. He applauded the initiative, acknowledging it as a long-term solution that will significantly benefit the constituents by delivering water directly to their homes. The event witnessed the presence of dignitaries, including Ramohalli Gram Panchayat former President Kumari Srinivas, Vice President BH Prabhu, Govinda Raju, BJP Bangalore North General Secretary R.P. Prakash, Kantharaju, Manjunath, Rakesh Gowda, PDO Sunitha, and other notable figures. The initiation of the Jal Jeevan Mission in Kengeri is a pivotal step toward ensuring access to safe and continuous drinking water, marking a significant stride in alleviating the water scarcity that has affected the community.
