As the Dasara festival commenced, a significant surge in passenger numbers was observed on Friday night at the KSRTC station, with many individuals departing from Bengaluru to various districts to celebrate the holiday. The extended weekend and Dasara festivities have prompted a noticeable rise in the movement of people from Bangalore to other cities and towns, leading to heightened activity at key transport hubs such as Majestic, Shantinagar, and Mysore Road Bus Station.

The consequential increase in vehicular traffic was particularly notable along Mysore Road, Tumkur Road, and the vicinity surrounding Majestic, necessitating heightened operational efforts by the transport authorities. To accommodate the influx of commuters, the KSRTC deployed over 500 additional buses, ensuring that essential staff and officials were available until 1 am to facilitate smooth travel services.

In a collaborative effort, the North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation and Kalyan Karnataka Road Transport Corporation also contributed by deploying an additional 100 buses each to manage the escalating travel demands during the festival period.

To further accommodate the rising number of passengers, the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) arranged supplementary buses for night operations, catering to the influx of people from various parts of the city. These additional buses were strategically stationed at multiple bus terminals, including Chamarajpet, Banashankari, and Yeshwantpur, servicing districts such as Shimoga, Tumkur, Ramanagara, and Kolar, thus facilitating convenient travel options for those commuting during the festive season.
