The annual convocation of the BIDS took place on Saturday, October 21st, at the NIMHANS Convention Center at 10 am. Dr. B.L Sujatha Rathod, Director of Medical Education for the Government of Karnataka and Director of Minto Ophthalmic Hospital in Bengaluru, graced the event as the chief guest. Shri. Katuri Subba Rao, the college chairman, also presided over the ceremony.
A distinctive feature of the convocation was the involvement of the graduating students’ parents, who shared their personal experiences during the event. Dr. Sanjeev Nair, the President of the International Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons, further added to the significance of the occasion by motivating the passing-out graduates with his inspirational speech.
A total of 61 students, including both undergraduate and postgraduate candidates, were conferred with degrees during this memorable event.
