In a recent development, the Lokayukta sleuths in Bengaluru made significant strides in their fight against corruption, apprehending Inspector Lakshmana Gowda, Sub-Inspector Maruthi, and Head Constable Anjaneya from the Rajajinagar police station. The officers were allegedly caught accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000, purportedly in exchange for filing a B report in a specific case, according to the latest information.

The timely apprehension unfolded when Head Constable Anjaneya was caught red-handed accepting the illicit sum, following a complaint filed by an individual identified as Sri Sagar. Promptly responding to the complaint, the Lokayukta officials swiftly orchestrated a well-planned trap to capture the corrupt officer. Subsequently, a series of meticulously planned raids were conducted at the Rajajinagar police station under the supervision of Lokayukta Inspector Basavaraja Pulari.

While Anjaneya’s arrest has brought some relief, the investigative team is actively pursuing the remaining suspects, Maruthi and Lakshmana Gowda, aiming to ensure that all individuals involved in the corrupt practice are brought to justice. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing battle against corruption within law enforcement agencies, urging authorities to reinforce stringent measures to eliminate such malpractices and uphold the integrity of the legal system.
