Agriculture Minister N Chaluvarayaswamy has instructed the Karnataka State Seed Corporation to prioritise the implementation of advanced farmer-friendly schemes.
The Minister, who is also the Chairman of the Corporation, held the 310th Board of Directors meeting at the Corporation’s office on Tuesday and gave many suggestions. The Minister said to create more effective programs for the career development of the farmers and strengthen the agricultural activity. He also suggested that the board of directors should think and take action to improve the plans of the corporation.
The Minister directed to ensure that besides providing good seeds to the farmers, implementation of new forms of assistance schemes should be implemented and its benefits would be brought directly to the beneficiaries.
YS Patil, Commissioner of Agriculture Department, Devaraj, Managing Director of the Corporation, DL Nagaraj, NS Haveri, SS Bellad, S Rajendra Prasad and others attended the meeting and gave suggestions.
