State’s Delhi Special Representative TB Jayachandraheld an important meeting at Vidhana Soudha along with officials of Minor Irrigation Department to fill the lakes of Shira Assembly Constituency for drinking water through Yettinahole Project.
Engineers of Minor Irrigation Department Sanjeev Raju, Mudalagiriyappa, several Engineers including Prabhakar, Head of EA Technologies Ranganath participated in the meeting.
TB Jayachandra said that a plan should be made to use the water for drinking water by filling the lakes, for this necessary financial assistance should be obtained from the Central and State governments. He directed the officials to prepare a detailed project report in this regard.
He specifically said to prepare a plan to allow water to flow naturally to the lakes through gravity. All lakes on the right side of the National Highway should be filled. He said that water should be provided to the people and livestock and in the future, a plan should be made to provide some amount of water to the industries as well.
The project report must include Gummanahalli, Agrahara, Talagunda, Bettana Halli, Chinnenahalli, Kalenahalli, Brahmasandra, Sibi, Dasarahalli New Mallenahalli, Hulikunte Hobali villages, He directed the authorities to make an adequate plan to fill all the lakes including the Dodda Bangere, Chikkabangere.
