New Digital Library Inaugurated By Police Commissioner At CAR North

In a significant stride towards enhancing access to knowledge, Police Commissioner B. Dayananda inaugurated a cutting-edge Digital Library at the CAR North Center in Thanisandra, North Bangalore. This pioneering digital library is the first of its kind in the city.

The pre-existing library boasts a collection of over forty thousand books, while the newly introduced Digital Library takes accessibility to an unprecedented level. It offers an extensive array of over 10,69,000 reading materials, encompassing records, online books, e-books, journals, and more.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of key dignitaries, including Additional Commissioner of Police East, Ramana Gupta IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police West, Satish Kumar IPS, DCP Devaraju (Bangalore East), DCP Dr. S. Siddaraju C.A.R South, DCP K. Vedesh Kumar, C.A.R. West, and DCP Manjunath Shukla, C.A.R. North. HC K. Rajappa, the library’s in-charge, and other distinguished police officers were also part of the event.

This Digital Library initiative reflects a commitment to broadening access to knowledge and promoting a culture of learning within the police force and the community it serves. It is expected to serve as a valuable resource for officers and the public alike, fostering continuous education and skill development.
