A few days ago, when Kannada actors joined a protest in the ongoing Cauvery water-sharing issue, Challenging Star Darshan was in attendance and when he came in, he greeted everyone on stage, except Action Prince Dhruva Sarja. The duo did not acknowledge each other’s presence, with Dhruva looking away when Darshan greeted someone seated next to him. This sparked rumours that all is not well between the two actors and when members of the media caught hold of Dhruva on his birthday, they posed the question.
Dhruva did not outright deny the rumours and said that he has immense respect for Darshan as a senior artiste. However, the actor added that there were certain questions that he needed to address with Darshan to set the record straight. It is not immediately known what could have sparked the difference between the actors, with both parties not having said anything about each other in public. In fact, only recently it was said that Darshan had spoken to director Ramnarayan, whose film Rajamarthanda is the late Chiranjeevi Sarja’s last release, not to pressurise Dhruva too much during the dubbing process of the film.
On his birthday, Dhruva also clarified that he and Martin producer Uday K Mehta were not at loggerheads over the escalating production cost of the film, owing to the delay in release. The actor said that he and Uday were looking at collaborating on another film called Rhino, and that going by the filmmaker’s passion for films, he wouldn’t mind doing another 5-6 films with him.
