In a significant drug bust at Bangalore’s Kempegowda International Airport on Monday morning, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) apprehended a Kenyan woman attempting to smuggle 1.02 kg of high-grade cocaine. The accused, identified as Ajeng O Caroline Agola, had ingeniously concealed the contraband in the form of capsules within her private parts and undergarments. A case has been registered against her under the Narcotic Drugs and Narcotic Substances Control Act (NDPS). Agola had arrived on an Ethiopian Airlines flight (ET 690) from Addis Ababa, landing at Kempegowda International Airport at 11:09 am. Airport sources revealed that CISF Police Officer Lakshmi Meena grew suspicious during her routine inspection of Agola. Subsequently, she was escorted to a separate room, where she was asked to remove her clothes for a thorough examination. It was during this examination that multiple capsules containing high-quality cocaine were discovered concealed within her underwear. Further investigation led Agola to be taken to the Aster Medical Center, where a comprehensive medical examination uncovered additional capsules hidden in her private parts. One source elaborated, “During questioning, she admitted to swallowing some capsules and was subsequently transported to Victoria Hospital, where an ultrasound scan of her abdomen was conducted.” The exact number of capsules found has not been disclosed. Experts estimate the seized cocaine to be of exceedingly high quality, valued at approximately Rs 12 crore in the market. It has been handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for further investigation and action.
